SHORTWALK
Shortwalk is an ever-evolving photographic project built around movement, encounter and improvisation.
Through this series, Adam ZM meets different people and walks through Paris with them, letting instinct, exchange and environment naturally guide the creation of images. Before the camera even comes out, there is already a conversation, a presence, a quiet understanding, and that is where the images begin.
There is no pre-defined narrative, no careful preparation, no controlled scenography. Each walk becomes a space for experimentation where bodies, clothing, architecture and light engage freely with the unpredictability of the urban landscape. The city is not a backdrop, it takes part.
Conceived as a long-term project, Shortwalk works as a permanent exercise in observation and adaptation. Working with very little and leaving room for spontaneity, the series explores an instinctive approach to image-making, somewhere between fashion photography, documentary and visual diary.
With each walk, the project writes itself a little more, carried by those who agree to come along.
